The Academy for Coaching is dedicated to fostering an inclusive learning environment and providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.     • Student and Faculty Conduct – Discrimination in any form is not tolerated, and all individuals are expected to uphold an inclusive and respectful environment.

    • Program Participation – Our coaching programs are open to all qualified individuals, and no participant will be excluded based on identity or background.

    • Harassment-Free Learning Environment – All students, faculty, and staff have the right to learn and work in an environment free from discrimination or harassment. Any behavior that disrupts this commitment will be addressed promptly.

Grievance Policy

The Academy for Coaching is committed to addressing concerns in a fair, transparent, and timely manner. Participants have the right to raise grievances regarding program content, facilities, faculty, or any other aspect of their experience.

 

Grievance Process:

     

    1. Direct Resolution: Participants are encouraged to first address concerns directly with the instructor, staff member, or peer involved.

    1. Formal Submission: If the issue remains unresolved or if a participant is uncomfortable addressing it directly, they may submit a written grievance to the program manager within 14 days. The program manager will review the complaint and respond within 7 days.

    1. Appeal Process: If a resolution is not reached, a formal appeal may be submitted to Academy for Coaching including the original grievance and reasons for dissatisfaction. A final decision will be provided in writing within 30 days.

 

We strive to ensure a respectful and fair resolution process for all concerns raised.

 


 

Participation Expectations

Enrolling in our coaching programs signifies a commitment to full engagement and active participation. Participants are expected to:

 

     

    • Attend all scheduled sessions on time.

    • Follow the program’s Code of Conduct and professional standards.

    • Engage in discussions, exercises, and coaching activities.


 

Attendance Policy

To meet the required training hours for certification, full attendance is essential.

 

     

    • If you experience an emergency or illness that prevents attendance, please notify your instructor and (organization representative) immediately.

    • Missed sessions must be made up by reviewing session materials, watching recordings, and completing an independent coaching session.

    • Absences exceeding (2) hours require additional measures, such as private instruction (at the participant’s expense) or enrollment in a future course.

    • If more than (2) hours of mentor coaching are missed, participants must arrange and pay for individual mentor coaching to meet the ICF’s 10-hour mentor coaching requirement.

Requests for exceptions must be submitted in writing for case-by-case review.

 


 

Engagement and Code of Conduct

To maintain a dynamic and respectful learning environment, participants are expected to:

 

     

    • Arrive on time for all live and mentor coaching sessions.

    • Keep cameras on during virtual sessions to foster engagement.

    • Fully participate in discussions, activities, and coaching exercises.

    • Contribute thoughtfully, demonstrating honesty, integrity, and professionalism.

    • Show respect for instructors and peers by minimizing distractions (e.g., silencing phones).

    • Foster an inclusive space, embracing diversity and treating others with dignity.

Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary actions, up to and including removal from the program.

 


 

Completion Requirements

The Academy for Coaching does not grant partial credit for coursework. Participants must complete the full program to receive certification. For inquiries, please contact support@academyforcoaching.org.

 


 

Payment & Fees Policy

     

    • Enrollment is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.

    • Payment is accepted via credit card in U.S. dollars.

    • Courses are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.


 

Refund Policy

     

    • Full refunds are available if a cancellation request is received within 3 business days of registration and at least 14 days prior to the course start date.

    • Refunds are not granted for cancellations made after these deadlines.

    • All requests must be submitted in writing, and refunds will be processed within 7 days of approval.


 

Registration Modifications

Participants may request course date transfers or substitutions up to 14 days before the program begins. Changes are subject to availability. Contact support@academyforcoaching.org for assistance.

 


 

Illness and Emergency Absences

In case of illness or emergencies:

     

    • Notify your instructor immediately.

    • Make up for missed sessions by reviewing content and scheduling an additional coaching session.

    • Absences exceeding 2 hours require additional learning arrangements (at the participant’s expense) or deferment to a later course.

 

Petitions for exceptions will be reviewed individually.

The Academy for Coaching upholds the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics, which defines the standards of behavior expected from all coaching professionals.
